Quality

You are invited, take a look into our factory !

Making the upholsteries for our classic program is also shared among a number of small workshops, of which any one has its speciality. The pieces for our leather coverings are all handcut from selectes hides. To make a Corbusier armchair as many as 14 differently sized parts are required.
When it comes to the question why different manufacturers offer similar looking furniture pieces for different prices, the answer is quite simple. The difference in quality determines the price. Lots of these Bauhaus Style items get produced in Asia, Mexico or Norway with a very low quality level. If you would like to own one of the jewels of modern design you might consider buying a piece that will last and that will give you the joy of aging gracefully. In opposite to our competitors, our company is not only selling the furniture through the internet, we want to prove our high quality directly to the customer! Next to our existing showroom in Europe we are planing on opening our US office within the year 2003, including very fast the opening of our own showroom in L.A. and future representative showrooms in different cities like Washington, Miami, San Francisco and Las Vegas.
The parts are then sorted by their structure and grain in order to make sure that the look of neighbouring areas on the finished upholstery will be equal. After this the pieces are sewn together. In the next step the ready coverings are mounted on the upholsteries which are made of such different materials as polyurethane foam or down feathers. Completed upholsteries are then supplied to the SteelClassic final assembly, where we are mounting feet, straps, armrests and fit the upholsteries to their frames. |
